Free WordPress plugin + Premium add-on

DevStrefa Text to Speech for ElevenLabs

Add Text to Speech to WordPress with ElevenLabs and let visitors listen to your articles and pages. You use your own ElevenLabs API key. Audio is stored in your Media Library. This is an independent DevStrefa plugin - not affiliated with ElevenLabs.

WordPress Text to Speech Plugin - Features

Useful for blogs, news sites and documentation: visitors can listen instead of reading. Editors generate MP3 files once; the front end only plays the saved file.

ikona 1

Connect ElevenLabs to WordPress

The plugin never uses a shared key. You create a restricted API key, connect it in DS TTS, fetch voices and generate speech on demand.

ikona 2

What WordPress Content Can the TTS Plugin Read?

Classic editor, Gutenberg and Elementor. You can skip CSS classes and IDs (ads, forms, menus). BeBuilder / BeTheme layouts are detected and are not read.

ikona 3

WordPress Text to Speech Audio Player

Show it before or after the article, or place [ds_eltts_audio] yourself. Files stay in /uploads/ds-eltts/ and in the Media Library.

ikona 4

Privacy in practice

Text goes to api.elevenlabs.io only when an editor generates audio (or when fetching voices/statistics). Playing the file does not call the API again.

ikona 5

ElevenLabs Credits and API Limits

Character usage comes from your ElevenLabs plan. The Statistics tab shows remaining characters. A Free ElevenLabs plan often cannot use library voices via API.

ikona 6

Who Is This WordPress TTS Plugin For?

Publishers who want an audio version of long articles, better accessibility, and a player that matches the site instead of an embed from another platform.

Setup in 5 steps

The setup is based on five clearly defined steps that allow you to quickly configure the plugin.

01
Install the free plugin

Install from WordPress.org (after approval) or upload the zip. Activate it. Open the DS TTS menu.

02
Create a restricted API key

In ElevenLabs use Restrict key and grant only the permissions you need. Do not use a key with all permissions on a production site.

03
Connect and pick a voice

Paste the key, click Connect, choose a default voice. Adjust stability and similarity if the voice is too flat or too variable.

04
Decide what is spoken

Optionally read the title. Add CSS selectors to skip (for example .advertisement, #comments). Set player position: before content, after content, or shortcode only.

05

Generate from the editor

Edit a post or page. In the audio box click Generate and Publish Audio. If you chose manual placement, paste [ ds_eltts_audio ] or [ ds_eltts_audio id="123" ] into your content.

Premium WordPress TTS Features

Sold separately. It is not listed on WordPress.org. It requires the free plugin to be active.
